Back from holidays and time to get sewing!
The school holidays are over and we are back from beautiful Thailand. We had a lovely relaxing time and of course squeezed in some fabric shopping at my favourite place in Bangkok- Sampeng Lane, Chinatown.
This is an amazing place for those who get excited by fabric, buttons, beads and braid- I admit to this obsession! It is called the Walking Lane Textiles and is a hub of activity- you can buy all sorts of fabric, I mostly use cottons and there was lots to choose from.
These were all $2 or $3 per metre and the braid was 50c per metre.
These Japanese cottons were $4 per metre- looking forward to use these for some skirts or cute little tops- of course they would also make great bags, purses, cushion covers .... I had better get to it!

What has been happening?
Well, it's been a while since posts, so I will pop a few photos up to show what we have been up to. Most significantly, Louise gave birth to gorgeous Lola Rose, so she has been a bit quiet lately, still trying to get some sleep. She will be working on some new prints soon.
I have been sewing away trying to build up some stock for the busy market times ahead. I have received some gorgeous fabric from Hawthorne's and made some spring-time cushion covers, a few more skirts, purses and just last night finished drafting a pattern for a cute summer top.

Another great Coledale Markets
Some rain showers did not stop the
crowds coming down to the markets this Sunday.
It was great to see so many familiar faces and meet some new ones.
Drawstring had a fun (although a little hot and sweaty) and rewarding day at our amazing local markets.

Even picked up a bargain or two, like this zebra rocking horse for $8 dollars!!!
Looking a bit rounder these days :-)
